ConcussionSense™  Chartwheel concept:

As a parent with two young children (11 and 14), who participate in sports, Gene Moore has proffered an elegantly simple way to understand sport concussions in youth in a very effective manner. I believe they should be included in any and all organized athletic leagues (baseball, soccer, football, gymnastics, lacrosse et al.)

I am a parent (mother) of three boys, ages 11, 13 and 16. All started contact sports at the age of 6.
As a young parent, I remember thinking how cute and fun until I began to see the severity of injuries that occurred. Chartwheels has created a powerful concept and resource to not only remind us of what to be aware of, but a powerful tool that we can carry with us and use as a reference when we need it most.
I encourage youth sport organizations, doctors, sporting goods stores and coaches to use this tool.

After speaking to you about the youth sport concussions chartwheel and having direct experience with your other educational chartwheels, I can tell you that as a parent whose children have played organized sports, having the concussion chartwheel would definitely have been helpful in understanding concussions and their effects.

As you know, I am a big fan of your Chartwheels, and the simple no-nonsense hands-on approach
to learning key facts that the Chartwheel concept represents. Your (concussion chartwheel) is a great idea, and will be simple and easy to use for anyone who is concerned about understanding concussions (minor or major). It will provide easy access to the information that I need to help me manage my kids’ health and well being in the event of any concussion or head trauma. Their future cognitive growth and development depends on it!
